Shedko Badges 1.5.5.X BETA 

We bring to your attention the first beta-version of Shedko Badges which is partially* compatible with Windows Vista.

* Partially - means, that current beta-version Badges will work yet on all computers. But also mistakes(errors) from installation will not be, if the system is not compatible with Badges, Badges it will not be work and will not to interfere with normal work in Windows Vista.

ATTENTION: THIS IS A BETA VERSION. And we NOT CAN GUARANTEE THAT IT WILL TO WORK ON YOUR PC. It did not pass careful testing, it simply works on a computer of the author of the program.

It only the temporary solution, for those who does not wish to wait for official stable release of the version compatible with Windows Vista.

New in this version, in comparison with 1.5

+ New addon to wath for file operations, if you move file/folder then badges was moved to new file.

* Fixed: manager not always mark current theme if you was use seperate settings per user.

* Fixed: manager will show incorrect count of badges in status bar.

* Fixed: sorting badges in manager not work after double change sorting order.

- Removed old FileIO hook, that was produce errors on some computers.

+ Start preparation for work under Windows Vista

+ Some small improvements.

If on your PC Badges do not works, simply not showing on icons, but menu is work - this may occure on some PC when Badges is not correct read path to icons.
To fix this problem please open Badges Manager, then page "Settings" and check option "Common base for all users on this PC".
If this option are enabled on your PC, but Badges is not work, then unchek it.

Will there be a 64bit version?
I cannot install it on XP64 :/

hi in the beta 1.5.5.x the badge column to windows explorer is BUGed
I find a solution to have a 1.5.5.5 final will all the fonction without any bug,

take shell_Badges.dll of the 1.5 rename in shell.dll
and copy it in 1.5.5 folder without install it
do your *.bat with regsvr32.exe => regsvr32.exe /s shell.dll
reboot your pc and install menu_badges.dll and shell_bages.dll
reboot
in setting.in put baseperuser=0

it work for xp fam and pro

this tip is for only advanced user ! I haven't got the time to explain the details
