Exception 0eedfade

I like the idea of your software, but I am unable to use it.  When I try to close certain applications like iconpackager form stardock,  I get the 0eedfade exception.  This happens with some other software occasionally as well.  When Badges is uninstalled, no exceptions.

Perhaps you can take a look into this exception.  I don't do windows coding, so I don't know what this exception pertains to.

I am running Windows XP with

I am running Windows XP with SP2 (Tablet Edition).  It seems to be a quite common error.  I realize it may not be your program that is causing the error, but whatever the issue is, Badges is at least the piece that sets it off.  Certain programs throw this exception when your program is installed.  The exception error causes the programs to hang in the background refusing to release the memory they are holding after their window closes.  All of this goes away the second I uninstall badges.  Weird huh?

Tried out the new version.

Tried out the new version. Still has the error.

"The exception unknown software exception (0x0eedfade) occurred in the application at location 0x7c812a5b."

Thanks for responding so promptly though. I hope you're able to figure it out.

By the way: I think folderico is great.

Please try do disable

Ok, we try another fix, please see link in e-mail.

But this is a only update, you must have installed version 1.5 or 1.5.1.

If this fix was not help you, then

Please try do disable shell-addons one by one, or all at same time.

1. Add a tab to the Properties dialogue window for all filesystem objects

2. Add an item to Explorer's context menu for all filesystem objects

3. Add new "Badge" Column to Windows Explorer

This will help to recognise what of this addon is produce this error.

Tried the update. I

Tried the update. I disabled all the shell extensions, and also did them one at a time. The error remains in all cases. Apparently, something else besides the shell extensions is affecting my computer. Still confused, but when I uninstall, everything is running smooth.
